At the Fair
My sister, Kristina, and I loaded up Cole and Harper this morning and took them to the Mt. State Fair. We saw all the normal sights first - cows, horses, goats, lamas, etc. Cole and I even rode on a camel! All kidding aside, it was a bumpier ride than I thought it would be. I cannot imagine riding on it for any length of time, though I'm sure you'd get used to the loping after awhile. [Alas, there are no camel photos because my sister couldn't figure out the camera. Apparently she is not aware of my need to document everything!! I think I might need to give her some lessons!]

Anyway, we had just finished eating lunch when it started to sprinkle....then dribble...and then POUR! Wouldn't you know we were at the completely opposite end of the grounds from where we had parked? Of course we were... So we ran toward the animal barns and spent some intimate time with the horses who belong to the Henderson County mounted police. But I wouldn't change the fact that we got a little soaked (except for Harper, who was cannopied in her stroller and slept for the entire excursion) because it was during that unplanned, unexpected time that I captured this:

I just love my little guy being so affectionate! And brave, too, since he's not around horses that often. So that's my happy photo of the day...

I love this picture of Cole hugging the horse, no fear at all, even though the horse is so much bigger than he is! What a sweet little guy!

That picture is adorable!! Adelaide says she's going to be a vet when she grows up. :-) She loves animals and it sure seems like Cole does, too.

But then MJ and Keagan do as well. You have gorgeous children, take gorgeous children and make gorgeous scrapbook pages. Your awesome! ;)

Great photo, Joanna! Our county fair was last week and we didn't even get a chance to go in the livestock barns. So jealous!

About Us
Hi! I'm Joanna, author of this journal. My husband Mark and I are photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. Most recently we collaborated on a 12 week beginner photography course, the contents of which you can find
    • here.
    • The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost wordless children's book about frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love it because it tells a story in pictures. Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent (though not always willing) photography subjects. So here you'll find not only the story of our lives, but of those we've photographed as well. We'd love to tell your story, too!
