Harper Cake is 3 months old today!!
Have I told you the story of her middle name? It's actually "Kate" but Beth's daughter, Meredith, who is five and spunky as all get out, misunderstood her mom when she told her Harper's middle name for the first time. Thinking that Beth had said "Cake," she looked up at her mom and said, "That's a COOL middle name." Too funny! And yes, whether she's "Cake" or "Kate" Harper's as sweet as can be. : ) OKay, so somedays she's only as sweet as a pickle, but that's another story...
In other news, it's my brother's birthday today!! Happy birthday, Marky, you goon!! Good grief - he's 2 decades old today. Obviously not a bad thing for him, but for me, well, that just means I'm aging. Wisdom comes with age. Age is irrelevant. WHATEVER. Gray hair and wrinkles are all I see!! Okay, off topic... Anyway, being the BEST big sister that Mark has (did you read that, Kristina??) I sent him a package of chocolate chip cookies last week already. He lives way up yonder in the snowy regions of South Dakota as he goes about his college days of mayhem. Actually, he's an RA or whatever they call them these days, so I think that some people may actually consider him responsible! Ha ha! Nevertheless, he'll always be my "little" brother, and since I'm now the shortest one in the family, it really feels good to call him that.Labels: Harper |
