A very good day

Yesterday was a very good day. I'd even venture to say it was perfect. Not a win-a-million-bucks surreal kind of day, but just a great hang-around-the-house-in-your-pjs content sort of day. We built a fort in the living room. We played "fireman" -- a made up game where we take turns wearing the firefighter hat from Halloween and drive the firetruck (also known as Cole's bed) to McDonalds. (???) We ate fruits and vegetables for lunch. Cole and Harper took naps at the same time in the afternoon. I did laundry. I emptied and filled the dish washer. I worked out. Both the USPS and the UPS were kind enough to bring me packages (including new Heidi Swapp fuzzy rub-ons!). Someone posted a sweet ego-pampering thread about me online. I scrapped a layout. We had art class after naptime and explored the color green. I cooked dinner! Ha ha. Okay, I put the lasagna that Mark had prepared the day before into the oven so that it would be ready shortly after he arrived home from work. It was such a good day that I didn't want it to end, so I stayed up way too late checking out photos from CHA at scraptalk. I was finally on my way to the bedroom when Harper woke up crying, but that was okay, too, because technically it was after midnight, and I'd already had my perfect day.

PS. The photo of Harper crying was for the person who asked if she was always smiling. Never fear -- she certainly can get wound up sometimes!

PPS. During the aforementioned art time Cole was drawing a photo of me. When he got to the hair I asked him if my hair was straight or curly. He looked up for a bit and said, "messy." Gotta love him!

Man...I really love those "good" days. Where everything seems to just click. Those are what gets us moms through all the other not-so-good days:) I do think I got confused...either that or Cole goes to Art Class in his underwear?? :) I was thinking about your kids the other day...because my kids LOVE the "Praise Baby DVD's"...thought your kids might like them too...check them out...

Ya gotta love days like that. With my little 3 1/2 year old, there aren't many days like that right now...but they DO exist...every now and again. And since they are few and far between they are even more appreciated. LOL!

About Us
Hi! I'm Joanna, author of this journal. My husband Mark and I are photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. Most recently we collaborated on a 12 week beginner photography course, the contents of which you can find
    • here.
    • The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost wordless children's book about frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love it because it tells a story in pictures. Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent (though not always willing) photography subjects. So here you'll find not only the story of our lives, but of those we've photographed as well. We'd love to tell your story, too!
