fun with florals

I love flowers!
Especially love the variety of flowers that springtime brings...
the dogwoods are in full bloom
i've spotted some azaleas
can't get enough of the colorful tulips
the scent of lilies transports me back to when Mark and I were dating. (It's the first flower he gave me, right before our first date on April 9th ummm.....7 years ago? let me think....)
I noticed some purple lilacs on our drive around town the other day...love the smell of those, too!
the aphids have descended upon the wild rose bush in our backyard
the strawberry plants are flowering
join me in my random springtime meanderings
What's your favorite flower?
favorite part of the season?

    Lovely pictures...

My favorite flower...by far, the blue hydrangeas ALL over my parent's yard. Can't get them to grow here for me in Texas *sigh*

I have to admit that one of my favorite memories of spring, growing up in Asheville was driving up our driveway and hearing my Mom say "Make a memory" as we passed the gazillions of azaleas around our house. Miss the azaleas...miss Mom's reminder. (Now she just tells me on the phone!)

Great pictures...I "need" to know how you get that crisp white background :)

My favorite flower is the lily of the valley.

My favorite part about spring is the smell...everything smells brand new.

Beautiful photos of beautiful flowers, Joanna! My favorite flower is definitely the sunflower. I've always loved them. Every time I see one it makes me smile. They just scream happiness to me. ;) My favorite part of the season is just the crispness of the air in the morning. It's so refreshing and it reminds me of the fresh start and all of the promise of a new year.

Beautiful pictures - love them! I'm still trying to figure out how you get pictures like that! :)
What I look forward to most about spring is getting outside! I never really appreciated that before I had Ansley, but now it is a must for every day. Enjoy!

I love tulips, and ours were supposed to be a pastel pack -- but we only got yellow and some REALLY ugly dark purple ones.
I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that we planted them where the neighbor's cat usually does his business. I love spring too...

I love the daffodils in my back yard, but I'm a sucker for the tulips! I will always love tulips - and I'll always associate the lilacs with my childhood - my mom's favorite and we had huge bushes in our back yard growing up. I wish I had one of those trees!!

About Us
Hi! I'm Joanna, author of this journal. My husband Mark and I are photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. Most recently we collaborated on a 12 week beginner photography course, the contents of which you can find
    • here.
    • The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost wordless children's book about frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love it because it tells a story in pictures. Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent (though not always willing) photography subjects. So here you'll find not only the story of our lives, but of those we've photographed as well. We'd love to tell your story, too!
