separation anxiety

Harper is experiencing full-force separation anxiety, so I thought it might be fun to try and document it in photos. The funny part is that she literally held onto my leg the entire time I walked back and forth to the tripod to set up these shots. Funny, and yet not so funny...my little velcro baby.

And speaking of separation, Mark is in St. Louis for the entire week. You know what I say to that? Bah! He's there for the GAS conference, which is an acronym for Glass Art Society (just in case you were thinking about bodily functions or something like that. Mmmhhmmmm, I know how your mind works!) So we'll see how the week goes. Let's just hope we don't have any late-night encounters with smoke detectors like we did in March, 'cuz that would, indeed, cause me anxiety.

PS. Convenient, don't ya think, that Mark "forgets" the trash and then promptly takes off for St. Louis. Uh huh, that's what I thought, too. Stinkin' rotten...garbage.

I wonder if Brian and Harper would cling to each other if we introduced one velcro baby to another?

Adorable pictures. My son Ryder went through separation anxiety also. It was so bad that he earned the (thankfully) short-lived nickname of "Tick". (As in woodtick. yuck. We have lots of those little buggers here in Wisconsin.)

And...to top it off, our baby Kole (1 yr) is now also experiencing the same sense of wanting to be held 24/7. nice.

Enjoy it now. When Harper is 16, you'll miss these days. :)

Aaron didn't take out the trash before he left for St Louis, either.

About Us
Hi! I'm Joanna, author of this journal. My husband Mark and I are photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. Most recently we collaborated on a 12 week beginner photography course, the contents of which you can find
    • here.
    • The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost wordless children's book about frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love it because it tells a story in pictures. Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent (though not always willing) photography subjects. So here you'll find not only the story of our lives, but of those we've photographed as well. We'd love to tell your story, too!
