Welcome!

Hello! I'm Joanna, author of this photo journal. My husband, Mark, and I are professional photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost-wordless children's book about mischievous frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love this book because the illustrations are truly the heart of the story. Speaking of mischievous, Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent, though not always willing, photography subjects. Here you'll find not only the stories of our everyday lives, but of those we've photographed in our capacity as professional photographers as well. Please feel free to browse the links above, check out the archives at the bottom of the journal for more photo stories, or subscribe and receive email updates of all our antics. Enjoy!

that first photo cracks me up. :)

heehee...Dress rehearsal for Halloween? Toooo CUTE!

Cutie pies! And, I am so glad to finally see a photo from you that shows some kind of clutter in your home! (i.e. toys on the floor) I was beginning to think your house was ALWAYS immaculate! ;)

What I love so much about looking at your pictures is that it is evident that you have a great time with your kids being a mom. How cool must it be to have a mom who just gets right down to the fun things in life....and brings a camera along for the ride!

They are seriously cracking me up! Maybe I need to keep some candy near the door since they seem to want to go trick-or-treating a little early this year, lol.

Amy, I know personally that Joanna isn't the next Martha Stewart, lol. She is normal like the rest of us. Clutter and all ;)

Just picking on ya Jo!

Too cute - practicing for Halloween? Can't believe all the Halloween stuff out there, but I guess it isn't too far away! :)

l am so laughing at these photos right now. To cute. The same thing happens around here. All the kids dress up in old customes and l am like where are they kids. TFS

ROTFLOL!!! It's never too early to start practising for Halloween!

Love the photos of your kids. They are just TOO cute in their costumes. Such a TREAT!

Do I remember a certain little blondie wearing that purple outfit? Seems like I remember a LO. Such fun!

oh my goodness...
those are hilarious.
I LOVE them :)

What cuties! :) I need to get some outfits too! LOL!

lol i totally love these! they should go through the forest to my house to play...we have three of those here most days of the week ;) LOL

lol, too funny!

Adorable! My oldest finally decided what she wants to be for Halloween this year -- a witch. (Quite a change from the can-can dancer last year!)

My husband rigged up an elaborate bulldozer costume for my middle son last year. After several weeks of putting the project/costume together, the then-3-year old said. "I wanna be a Loader next year." (I don't think he quite understood the blood, sweat & tears my husband put into that thing.

And our baby, well, he is going to wear our now 4-year old's costume that was worn when he was 1 -- guess what it is? Yup -- a frog. :)

I am thinking that cows aren't exactly "wild."
could be me though. :)

Wow, Cole, or should I say the cow does look so tall and big!

Are those Halloween costumes already? Are you a Halloween fanatic?

My kids dressed up today too. Actually my son was wearing my daughters Halloween costume from last year. Is it a bad thing that she was princess Aurora? Hmmmm.!

those pictures are too cute! it looks like they are having fun!

They look like little mischief makers....
