Welcome!

Hello! I'm Joanna, author of this photo journal. My husband, Mark, and I are professional photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost-wordless children's book about mischievous frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love this book because the illustrations are truly the heart of the story. Speaking of mischievous, Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent, though not always willing, photography subjects. Here you'll find not only the stories of our everyday lives, but of those we've photographed in our capacity as professional photographers as well. Please feel free to browse the links above, check out the archives at the bottom of the journal for more photo stories, or subscribe and receive email updates of all our antics. Enjoy!

The Pumpkin Patch

It wouldn't be October without a visit to the pumpkin patch! Not really a patch, per se, but more like a Methodist church roadside stand.... This boy has been so, so sweet & good lately.

And this one? Well....rather the opposite...

Very sweet. Cole is getting so big and Harper is turning into such a little model for ya!

Love the smiles!!!

Oh, and happy 10th. We love having you here!!!

Ben sounds very much like Cole...and Haley? Just like Harper. I think they would get along WAY too well. :)

they both look so big!

no matter where the pumpkins were...it still looks awesome and so fall-ish :)

Beautiful pictures (as always), Joanna. And I can TOTALLY relate to your Cole/Harper comments. My kids are almost the same ages and boy, oh boy, they're so different! He's so easy going and she is so ... well ... NOT! Three year old girls = sass!!

P.S. Did you see that Lisa Marie Presley also picked the name Harper? Pretty cool.

i love how revealing you are with your thoughts. you always make me smile. whether it be cause youre so funny, or because i can relate so well--or just by enjoying your gorgeous photographs.
you have such beautiful kids, i love how BIG their personalities are. i read your journaling on the layout at 2peas (seeing red) today. i have been having a similar situation with my son logan who is 8, and i just felt so --i dunno--some kind of peace knowing sometimes things like this just happen and its not just me and mine. so i smiled at the connection once again. :)
so thanks for being so great ands sharing.
sherry in md.
ps. i love harpers curly hair so much--it adds charm to her lil face. :)
