this is what you'll see -- miss priss with her tongue sticking out. We just **might** change out of our pjs for ya, though...considering that it's already past noon.Labels: Harper |

| fun with florals |

I love flowers! Especially love the variety of flowers that springtime brings... the dogwoods are in full bloom i've spotted some azaleas can't get enough of the colorful tulips the scent of lilies transports me back to when Mark and I were dating. (It's the first flower he gave me, right before our first date on April 9th ummm.....7 years ago? let me think....) I noticed some purple lilacs on our drive around town the other day...love the smell of those, too! the aphids have descended upon the wild rose bush in our backyard the strawberry plants are flowering join me in my random springtime meanderings What's your favorite flower? favorite part of the season?Labels: spring |

I was going to post a photo of our neighbors' tulips but then the most delightful bouquet arrived on our doorstep Friday afternoon from a friend. Thank you, dear friend!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!Labels: spring |

| Cracked! |
Found this layout that I did about last year's egg experience. Funny to see the changes in Cole from the past year! (Funny to see the difference in eggs, too!) The journaling is hard to see so I typed it out for ya:
Things to keep in mind when dying eggs with a 2-year-old - newspaper, preferably taped to the table and underneath the chairs, is a necessity - a colorful liquid in a cup looks a lot like Koolaid, even if it smells like vinegar - boiled eggs can only endure so much, especially when dropped into a cup from 2 feet above the table, or, for that matter, when simply thrown onto the floor in disgust - there is no such thing as waiting patiently for eggs to turn colors - eggs need to be inspected, sniffed, and handled frequently while still wet - your helper will shake his head with a dejected look on his face and respond with eggs...bwoke when asked by Daddy about the egg-dying session Some of you commented on the color of the eggs, and we just used the same ol' PAAS dyes that we've been buying for years. However, we did use Eggland's Best eggs this year and I think that made a difference. On the vinegar bottle it suggests that smooth eggs will take to the dye better, so maybe EB's are smoother? I think they're a brighter white to begin with, at any rate. Anyway, just thought I'd share... |
