| Sometimes it's hard to be the baby |

you have TWO new teeth coming in you have a runny nose because of the teeth you bonk your head on the low windowsill your skin is tinted orange from all the veggies your mom feeds you you have to take a morning nap while your brother gets to play with his toys your mommy puts you in a dress, which is not conducive to crawling no one will let you chew on their booksLabels: Harper |

| Monday morning |
Whose boring blog is this, anyway?? Oh yeah, it would be mine...
Sorry about that! Uncle Mark is still here. Husband Mark came home yesterday. My parents arrived yesterday as well. Sooooo, it's a tad bit busy. : )
But, to prevent staleness, a layout share.
The one of Harper is in the July CK, and the one of Cole is a scraplift....of myself...

| Tuesday |

Saw this scene yesterday but didn't have the camera along so I loaded up the kids in their pjs this morning in order to capture it. I just love these misty mountain haybales!
That cool photo edge is by the amazingly talented Rhonna, and is available here.Labels: Asheville |

| separation anxiety |

Harper is experiencing full-force separation anxiety, so I thought it might be fun to try and document it in photos. The funny part is that she literally held onto my leg the entire time I walked back and forth to the tripod to set up these shots. Funny, and yet not so funny...my little velcro baby.
And speaking of separation, Mark is in St. Louis for the entire week. You know what I say to that? Bah! He's there for the GAS conference, which is an acronym for Glass Art Society (just in case you were thinking about bodily functions or something like that. Mmmhhmmmm, I know how your mind works!) So we'll see how the week goes. Let's just hope we don't have any late-night encounters with smoke detectors like we did in March, 'cuz that would, indeed, cause me anxiety.
PS. Convenient, don't ya think, that Mark "forgets" the trash and then promptly takes off for St. Louis. Uh huh, that's what I thought, too. Stinkin' rotten...garbage.Labels: Harper |

| another Trash Truck Friday |
The poor trash men have been sadly neglected as of late, but today Cole decided to take an interest in them again. I was still in bed, reading a book because Harper actually listened to my suggestion last night of sleeping in instead of screaming like a banshee first thing in the morning (comparable to roosters on farms, I'm certain). So she was still quiet, and I was enjoying the peace when I heard the sounds of someone dragging or pushing something in the living room, which means, as usual, that Cole was working industriously on creating some sort of mischief. So I gave him a little more time while I finished the chapter, and when I walked out into the foyer this is what I saw:
Except at this point the trash truck had not yet arrived, but there was Cole, waiting for the truck in style.
He did manage to get out of the chair in order to wave at the fellows after they turned around in the cul-de-sac. My funny boy. : ) And now the chair is outside, awaiting the recycling truck or perhaps even the man in brown.

PS. Happy anniversary, Jen & Ross!
PPS. In one of the great ironies of the day, my husband forgot to put out the trash this morning. So as we were waving and taking photos, they were probably wondering, hmmm, I wonder why they don't have any trash today. They're not super clean folk...Labels: a humorous life |
