Welcome!

Hello! I'm Joanna, author of this photo journal. My husband, Mark, and I are professional photographers in Asheville, North Carolina. The name of our company, Tuesday's Frog, is based on an almost-wordless children's book about mischievous frogs that go flying on lily pads one night. We love this book because the illustrations are truly the heart of the story. Speaking of mischievous, Cole & Harper are our children, and frequent, though not always willing, photography subjects. Here you'll find not only the stories of our everyday lives, but of those we've photographed in our capacity as professional photographers as well. Please feel free to browse the links above, check out the archives at the bottom of the journal for more photo stories, or subscribe and receive email updates of all our antics. Enjoy!

spring break

I've had such a good week with these two sugar plums, home on spring break. It makes me think that I might just survive this summer....with a sprinkling of summer camps and activities, of course!

Easter photos

After a beautiful sunrise service at church we headed over to the Biltmore Estate to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. After registering the kids for the hunt we had plenty of time to enjoy the gardens & grounds...

Cole was just a little excited, I think!

I really loved the colors of the tulips this year...

...they matched Harper's dress perfectly!

Sometimes they are so sweet to each other...

...and sometimes (ha!) they are not! Love the hand-over-the-mouth-kiss!

Finally, 11am arrived and it was time for the hunt. The kids both enjoyed it, despite the fact that they were divided by age into different sections of the lawn. Everybody was nice and there were plenty of eggs to go around...which made it quite enjoyable compared to hunts (not at the Biltmore) that we've been at in the past. After the hunt they each turned in their eggs for a nice treat bag of goodies.

After lunch we headed down to the bass pond & waterfall for a little more time outdoors in the beautiful weather. (Goal: to wear the kids out.)

Hmmm...something tells me we accomplished our goal! It was such a beautiful, enjoyable day!

oh snow!

We had a little dusting of snow yesterday...

...let's just hope it's winter's last gasp!

Thankfully, the snow was gone by mid-afternoon, which is good, since we're keeping our fingers crossed for a warm Easter.

more soccer...

Warming up before practice...we lucked out today and had a nice, warmish overcast day for play, with the rain holding off until the exact moment the kids walked off the field. Love the tongue-sticking-out-in-concentration here...

Good grief that grin makes my heart stop. We kick the ball back and forth along the sidelines during the game, although she insisted at the first practice that she was really 5 and was old enough to play, too. In actuality she needs to stop growing right now because she is precisely perfect at 3.5. That pup under her arm is "Taxi." Her first stuffed animal to receive an actual name, (other than "little puppy" or "brown puppy") he is her constant tag-a-long since arriving on Christmas Day.

We were so proud of Cole - he received the sportsmanship award at the end of the game for being a good teammate and having a good game.

By the River

The weather this past weekend was WONDERFUL! Friday evening I took the kids over to the river for our very first outdoor picnic of the year (in winter we normally have "car picnics" - picnics in the car because I am a germ-o-phobe and won't take the kids inside a fast-food joint with a play area...also because of this incident if you need more explanation...) After eating we headed over to our favorite spot, the crooked bench.

See? I told you it was crooked. You can really only lean on it for a short while. There we greeted our visitors...

...who pretty much just ignored us. Notice how stealthy Harper is, hiding behind the bush?

Yay for happy, grubby faces!

This one was taken facing the opposite direction. I think the sun was too low in the sky by this point to warm it up...brr, hurry up, springtime!

Ahhh, that's better...sunshine warming up the rocks, right before we headed home.

On the way home Cole discovered that he has not just one but TWO loose teeth! Which merits a photo, of course...and Harper just wanted you to know that she has teeth, too.

a very rainy Friday (and Saturday, and Sunday)

The lure of the puddle...

...really, who can resist?

Even Cole got in on the fun (but not in the puddles, because he didn't want to get wet -- but someone just might have splashed him anyway.)

Good things those new boots arrived last week!

(It's just too bad she was too sick to enjoy the puddles & boots the rest of the weekend...but I'm sure there are more rainy-day-opportunities to come.)

my little sunshine

Nothing says springtime like a new yellow sweater (paired with a favorite pink skirt, of course!) That and the fact that it's supposed to be 60 degrees tomorrow! Whohoo! Forget snow days - bring on the sun!

Sweater is from crewcuts though I've seen similar styles at mini boden.

last week it was a shark...

And this week, it's an evil queen. We watched Sleeping Beauty yesterday and she said, "Mommy, I'll be the queen and you can be the bird." First of all, why do I have to be the crow? And second of all, why does she always want to be the mean one? (I do know that she likes the fact that Maleficent turns into a dragon.) Anyway, here she is in all of her three-dom, photo taken this past November.

scenes from Christmas

While waiting for the kids to wake up Grandma & Grandpa I took a few shots of the tree...unfortunately, the top row of lights on the tree burned out the night before...

...just a little excitement in the air! For some odd reason Cole decided that he & Harper had to get dressed before they opened up their presents...hence the t-shirt & jeans...

...and the yellow skirt -- in addition to the scarf, gloves, and leg warmers which were all from Santa -- as well as the puppy in the purse and princess stickers. Really, what more could a girl ask for?

Harper's Christmas party
I felt like the Price is Right there for a bit looking at all those "bids" for the bird. Thanks for playing!

Here are a few photos of Harper from this morning. I cropped these in close to protect the privacy of her classmates. And yes, the shawl (or cape, as she calls it) is on backwards. And she refused to wear a dress. So instead she wore red & white striped pants and resembled a very cute (though only sometimes sweet) candy cane. Now she is just plain sticky from too many Christmas treats at their party.
In an hour, when Cole comes home on the school bus, it will officially be Christmas break. That sure is a long time to be out of school, don't you think? Hmmm....

bowling

We took the kids bowling for the first time a few weeks ago. To say they enjoyed it would be an understatement. Harper was SO excited before we even got there - we asked her what she thought bowling was and she said, "I don't know, but I soooo esscited!!" You have to love that enthusiasm!

The bowling alley had this neat sort of dinglehopper to help the kids bowl (I have no idea what it's actually called, but it helps them launch the ball down the center of the lane.)

Cole tried it a few times and then he decided he could do it all by himself.

And he did a great job! He had this funny little swagger after he released the ball - he'd casually walk or skip back to the scoring area and then turn his head nonchalantly to see how he'd done. Look at that, another strike. We all had fun (and for what it's worth, I won each time, mainly because Mark is really, really good at throwing gutters.)

a romp in the leaves

In between the snowfalls we've had more than our fair share of fallen leaves to contend with, too. So one day last week Mark raked them into a big pile and asked the kids to help "mulch" them.

As you might have guessed, they had a ball!

sledding

Last Friday it snowed. Just a bit, really, but enough for the roads to be icy, for school to be closed, and for me to wipe out almost immediately after walking out of the house. Ouch. (Never fear, though, because the camera was safe. I padded its landing quite nicely. Did I mention ouch?) Anyway, it was also just enough snow for one little girl to take her first solo sled ride.

Again, Daddy!

Tuesday's frog

Courtesy of Harper...

She brought this home from preschool yesterday and I thought the craft was too cute not to share:
1 toilet paper roll, smooshed on the back end to make a seat, and painted green
2 pompoms and 2 googly eyes
4 foam star stickers for feet
1 crinkly pink tongue cut out of construction paper and folded accordian-style

YES, she wanted the crown right there on her forehead and NO, she didn't want any help putting it up on her head.

Happy Halloween!

A garden sprite just scampered out our front door...wearing part of last year's costume and part of this year's costume (the only difference between the two is that one is purple and one is pink) and skeleton pajamas to boot. If you see anyone Halloweening out early tonight that would be us, because Harper is very much afraid of the dark.

at the Arboretum

Since the kids didn't have school yesterday we headed over to the NC Arboretum to soak up some color.

This photo is so accurate...

Obviously, I had to institute a bribe. This time around it was: if you smile for me, you can take your turn behind the camera, too. (Photos by Cole & Harper -- yes, I should have ditched the sippy cup. And yes, I set up the camera first -- so not just any 3 year old can take my job...yet.)

(Photos by Cole & Harper.)

Alice the camel had two humps...

I have that annoying, repetitive song in my head now...and I thought those long hairs were her eyelashes at first but on closer inspection I'm thinking eyebrows?

I took the kids to the Mountain State Fair at some point this past week. They had a good time. I had...an okay time. It's just not the same thing as the Minnesota State Fair, though it was loud and noisy and warm. But they enjoyed feeding the animals and sitting in the Fire Ranger's helicopter (which remained on the ground) and the ferris wheel (which was a little high for my taste) and the camel rides. I was a little freaked out about Harper sitting on the camel at first but she is a daredevil and had no problems with it. Also, when I asked her to hold my hand on the ferris wheel she said, "No, mommy." She's all heart.
Anyway, that was the fair experience this year...all in all, probably still better than getting drenched last year.

this one

She's insisted that her hair be in pigtails since last Friday, when Miss Jessica (our hairdresser) styled it that way for her.

She received the "good manners" award at school last Friday, and I resisted saying "really?!" when the teacher told me. (I wonder where those good manners are hiding most of the time?)

She is really worried there are sharks in her room, and the logical explanation that we're a good six hours from the ocean isn't doing anything to reassure her...

ETA: The skirt, which is just like the pink one she wore on Cole's first day of school, is on sale here.
If they don't have the right size on sale, here's one that looks pretty similar.

my constant companions

Oh, these two! I love them so, no matter how much their incessant fighting/arguing/competing with each other drives me up the wall. Because sometimes they're still cute. They've been my constant companions this summer, and I've enjoyed it. But now summer is almost OVER. I can't believe it! Cole starts Kindergarten tomorrow. Harper will start preschool in a couple of weeks. Our world turns topsy-turvy again. Change is good, I suppose. Sometimes. Not always easy, but good. Good for them...with maybe just a little bit of peace & quiet for me sprinkled in between all the driving back and forth.

she said...
While exiting the pew at church yesterday Harper looked up excitedly and asked, "Is it over?" When I assured her that church was indeed over she said, "Whohooo! Now we can talk." We keep telling her that church is the pastor's time to talk and for a chatterbox I suppose our mandate to "be quiet" feels rather stifling. The really funny part, though, is that she actually thinks she's being quiet during the service.

the rest of the day

Before church this morning...I love this one!

Acting quite nonchalant (though pleased) about the waitresses behind her singing "Happy Birthday." She requested pancakes for lunch so we celebrated at Cracker Barrel...

...then returned home for ice cream cake -- please note the purple sprinkles. (Grandma, check out the 3 princess necklaces she promptly put around her neck after opening up your present.)

After having a little trouble with the candles she requested some assistance from big brother, who was eager to accommodate the request...

PS> Though the cake looks a little wonky from this angle it was SUPER easy to make. I love that. It's from the July issue of Real Simple and is perfect for a 90-degree summer day -- here's a link.

almost 3

She turns 3 in a week! (eek!)
She dressed herself today. (Love that she paired that skirt with a dress.)
She loves to be barefoot.
She's the filthiest princess/tomboy we know.
She's turned from sweet to sassy.
Oh, so sassy.
She's highly influenced by her big brother.
She picked out two books at the library today: "Bugs" and "Sharks!"
She wants to go to kindergarten, too.
Her favorite colors are pink and purple.
She still loves puppies, only now when she sees a dog she says, "That's MY puppy! I take him home?"
She's finally potty-trained.
She refuses to smile at the camera.
She's fearless. She rides her hot wheels down the hill with abandon and a cackle.
She picks up bugs and squishes them.
She has moments where she's still so baby-faced cute I can't stand it.
(Then the independence returns and time-outs are frequent.)
She asked for "purple sprinkles" for her birthday. No toys, just sprinkles. Purple. Lots of them.

Talkative

I did a layout a few months ago for Jessica Sprague's column in the August issue of Creating Keepsakes, which just landed in my mailbox last week. (Forgive the bad scan, will ya?) The layout includes a bunch of my favorite phrases that Harper uses (for example, she says "MMs," instead of "M and Ms." The last line, which you probably can't read from here, includes an excerpt of a daily conversation she would have with people we encountered while running errands:

Stranger to Harper: How are you?
H: Two.
Stranger: How old are you?
H. Good.

For some reason there's a disconnect whenever someone asks Harper how old she is. Now she's actually changed up her responses a bit so when someone asks how old she is she says, "Harper Kate." (When I try to prompt her by saying that they want to know her age she responds with "H.") The ONLY time you'll get a number out of her is when you happen to inquire with Cole, first, about how old he is (5). And THEN when you ask Harper the same question she'll say very matter-of-factly and in all seriousness: "Six."

PS. I forgot to mention that the thought bubble on the layout is from the digi kit found here.

speaking of butterflies...

We went back to the Nature Center today to check out the butterfly exhibit which opened over the weekend. So weird to think that we've been going to this exhibit since Cole was close to the same age that Harper is now! It's always fun, though, and we try to arrive right when the Center opens because the butterflies are still quite willing to be held.

PS. For those who asked, most of the close-up photos on the blog recently were taken with the Canon 100mm Macro.

After two weeks of running around the kids & I were so happy to just hang out in our front yard this morning.

Our 3-season cutting garden is proving to be a good purchase!

I'm so proud of this little guy (I say little but he's like a foot shorter than me, okay, maybe 18 inches) because he's learning to ride his bike without training wheels! Love the tongue sticking out - a sign of true determination.

And this one...well, she's going to be 3 next month. Need I say more?

Harper's Hearts
When we dropped Cole off at school today Ms. Brenda, the director, gave Harper her VERY OWN BOX of conversation hearts. Needless to say, Harper was over the moon, and the whole way home she kept saying very excitedly, "Mommy! Hearts! Valentine's Day!" (yes, I realize Valentine's Day is actually tomorrow, but they are celebrating it at Cole's school today.)

Except for the brief moment when I merely borrowed 3 hearts to take this photo (can you hear the screeching?) she has been happily chomping on them and feeding them to her puppy.

After the heart stealing incident she thought it fair to only share one broken, crumbling orange heart with me. The rest, apparently, are for puppy, her real true love.

First photos
For the past 3 years the first thing I've done on each January 1st is take a photo of both kids (bedhead and all.) I think it's fun to document their growth from year to year. I posted color versions last year but here they are in black & white.

Speaking of photos, according to aperture we took 4981 photos last year (not counting portraits or weddings.) I should maybe edit a few of those. ; )

Happy New Year!

I have learned
...not to have high expectations going into a Christmas card shoot with my children. (This is probably the first year I can pretend to have such wisdom, though!) This year we just went with the flow and hung out on the porch in our santa hats. Harper ate a leaf, and a carrot, and Cole played with the reindeer, and they fought over which one got to sit where and we have one picture that isn't perfect but that I have already turned into a card and ordered. We also have about three dozen or so funny ones that make me laugh but that aren't necessarily card-worthy.

I should add, though, that such wisdom does NOT make me above offering candy as a bribe for sitting still.

the party

I love this photo. This little girl was just so happy to have a day all about her.

A little help from Daddy with blowing out the candles.

But she didn't need any help eating the cupcake!

My mom found that pink tiara in a little shop in Rochester called "Orange Clementine." We weren't sure if she'd wear it or not but I think she was too distracted by the cupcake to care. She calls it her "pretty hat."

taking a walk
Today we took a walk.
I should really call it a stroll, with a lawn mower, a scooter, and lots of lolligaging.

We stopped to smell the mountain laurel...
...it's not really very smelly.

We transcribed our names in dirt.

We pondered how small we really are.

We played hug-the-harper (guess how much she likes that?!)

Then we ran back down the hill toward home.

worst. patient. ever.

Should she ever decide to become a doctor, she'll deserve every screaming child she gets.
I took her to her 18-month appointment today and it's like preparing for battle.
Seriously.

puppies

Have you met Harper's puppies?
They are referred to by us as little puppy, middle puppy, and big puppy.
Harper refers to them each as either "puppppy" or "baby."
I don't know how she keeps track, but she does seem to alternate her attention between the three of them.
I made the mistake of throwing middle puppy down the other morning because stuffed animals are not allowed at the breakfast table. Bad, bad mommy. Harper pushed her chair away from the table and refused to eat.
(I don't think she realizes how traumatic it would be if any of the puppies had to be washed!)
Harper loves real dogs, too, but unfortunately Cole is severely allergic to them. I can just hear the arguments we'll have over this issue in the future.
The other day at Cracker Barrel we were unloading the kids from the van when a car pulled up beside us containing a couple and their dog. After spotting the dog, Harper leaned over and out of Mark's arms in order to give the lady a hug....because she owned a dog.

Harper vs. the snow

This one is much more pragmatic about the snow. It's cold. My feet are wet. I'm ready to go inside, Mommy. Can't you just see it all in this look?

It snowed more yesterday afternoon while the kids were napping. There was still snow on the ground this morning, so we even went out and bought a sled...now that we have a little hill in the side yard that's perfect for it...

Yesterday
Yesterday was perfectly overcast..but not yet rainy. We had to be out of the house for an hour for a showing, and with Harper still sick, I didn't want to contaminate anyone else. So we went to the park. (A little fresh air is good, right?)

Harper Cake
Last year when Harper was born Beth's daughter, Meredith, thought that Harper's middle name was "Cake" instead of "Kate" the first time she heard it. So I just wanted to show Meredith that Harper OFFICIALLY earned her nickname last night. : )

The funniest thing was that she wouldn't even touch the cake for a few minutes after we gave it to her. Normally she dives into her food (she looooooves to eat) so this was totally out of character for her! But eventually she dug into it and made a grand ol' mess. Which is what one is supposed to do on their first birthday, right?

Thank you for all the well-wishes yesterday!
Remember when I said that she'd still take 2 naps? Hahaha. That didn't happen.
But she did let me take a few birthday portraits, and here's one to share with you:

a special day

I'll post more later, but I thought I'd start the morning by sharing a few photos that illustrate how we started off the day one year ago compared to this morning. (Which is why you're fortunate to see not one but TWO photos of me sans makeup and in my pajamas.) Anyway, the real point of this post is that it's been ONE WHOLE YEAR since our little spitfire, Miss Harper Kate, decided to arrive 2 weeks early. (Let me tell you, her mama was more than ready!)

Birthday festivities are underway this morning. Which, for our newly minted one-year-old, basically means streamers festooning her doorway and a happy birthday song when Cole and I went in to rescue her from her crib (Cole took that second photo, too.) The cakes have just come out of the oven in preparation for a little party this evening. I haven't broken the news to her yet that there are still two naps on the agenda for today, even IF it is her birthday, but she'll find out about that soon enough.

Sometimes it's hard to be the baby

you have TWO new teeth coming in
you have a runny nose because of the teeth
you bonk your head on the low windowsill
your skin is tinted orange from all the veggies your mom feeds you
you have to take a morning nap while your brother gets to play with his toys
your mommy puts you in a dress, which is not conducive to crawling
no one will let you chew on their books

separation anxiety

Harper is experiencing full-force separation anxiety, so I thought it might be fun to try and document it in photos. The funny part is that she literally held onto my leg the entire time I walked back and forth to the tripod to set up these shots. Funny, and yet not so funny...my little velcro baby.

And speaking of separation, Mark is in St. Louis for the entire week. You know what I say to that? Bah! He's there for the GAS conference, which is an acronym for Glass Art Society (just in case you were thinking about bodily functions or something like that. Mmmhhmmmm, I know how your mind works!) So we'll see how the week goes. Let's just hope we don't have any late-night encounters with smoke detectors like we did in March, 'cuz that would, indeed, cause me anxiety.

PS. Convenient, don't ya think, that Mark "forgets" the trash and then promptly takes off for St. Louis. Uh huh, that's what I thought, too. Stinkin' rotten...garbage.

Harper's new skill

She is quite adept at making faces.
(I don't really know whose child she is.)
Apparently she just read something alarming on the back of the lotion bottle.
And yes, before you ask, she is sitting in the bathroom sink.

Proceed to the closeup.
If you look at her hair, you might also think that she's sprouting wings.

So I guess that makes it two skills for the day, instead of just one.

seven
Harper is seven months old today! She may not have been chosen for Regis and Kelly's beautiful baby contest, but she will always get our vote!

This past month has been full of milestones for her: jumping in her play seat, chasing and chomping cheerios, talking (sometimes coherently!), sitting up very well, and more I can't think of right now. In addition to doing she's growing like crazy. I was looking at how long her legs and torso were today. Where'd our baby go already? Oh -- remember how I said she wasn't rolling over? Well, apparently she didn't appreciate that comment very much, because she was making a royal fuss in her bed one night last week. I finally went in to check on her and there she was on her tummy, (she sleeps on her back), smiling brightly and as proud she could be. Now I can understand her desire for us to be excited, considering how much we've been encouraging her to roll over for the past few months, but the fact that she wanted to celebrate in her crib from 3-4 am was really not what the rest of us had in mind. The next morning three of us were walking around bleary-eyed while one little stinker decided she needed to sleep in until 9 am. Guess who that was? So anyway, I learned my lesson. No more mentioning what she's not doing.

Not for the faint of feet
I'm always saving pages out of magazines that I want to use for inspiration later on. I tore out this Lever ad a while ago and said to Mark, "we need to try this after Harper is born."

Now that she's among us and old enough to sit with assistance, I located the ad again and said, "Let's try this!" But what we realized, after taking the photos and hearing some feedback, is that a baby chewing on someone's foot is sorta gross to look at, unless, like the Lever ad, it comes with the implication of super clean feet and good hygiene. So I'm not going to share the actual foot-chewing photos with you, though I will tell you that it was Mark's foot (sanitized, of course) and, for the sake of comedy, point out that Harper had just gotten her 2 teeth. (Ha ha ha! I'm still laughing about that -- "no, no, honey, don't worry, I'll take the photos.")

These don't have the same lighting as the ad or the completely white background, but I thought they were fun and captured the same sort of idea...

If they still gross you out, I apologize. : ) I just wanted to point out that sometimes it's nice to try something new (and by "try" I'm referring to photography, not feet!)

"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth..."
I'm not sure if that's really what Harper wanted for Christmas, but it's what she got!

Not sure if you can tell on that photo or not, but there are two little white (sharp!) nubs there at the bottom that represent teeth #1 and #2. The first one appeared late on Christmas Day (around 9:30 pm, when I was just starting to think about sleep -- ha! ha!), and the second one arrived the next morning. Thank goodness there was a 24-hour Walgreens open that happened to carry teething tablets, or I don't think either Harper or I would have made it through the night. Let's just say that Harper takes pain personally....and loudly, and continuously.

Other events during Torture Harper week included introducing her to her first vegetable (after all, she's 5 months old now!)....

...and a check-up at the doctor's office because she has bronchiolitis. Needless to say, it's been a week!

Warm wishes

PS> Cole wanted to wish everybody a Merry Christmas, too! He's just been sick the past few days and couldn't be conned into posing for pictures. But if you were here, he'd sing a round of "Jinging Bells" to get you in the mood...

PPS> See how I'm trying to sit up in that last picture? Really, I was mostly folded in half, but I'm working on it. (Does my hair look a little red there, or is it just me?)

our snow bunny

This little moppet turned 4 months old on Sunday. Isn't this the most comical photo of her?? She loves playing with her tongue and the wonky hat just cracks me up. The poor thing got 4 shots yesterday, too, so she wouldn't let me coax a smile out of her, but I think this photo will do.

At 4 months of age she is certainly a chunky little monkey, just an inch shorter and a pound lighter than her brother was at this age. She's got such deep, adorable, kissable rolls on her -- you know, the kind where you can later find cereal remnants in the crevice under her neck? She just started with rice cereal at the end of last week (after all, it was the week of Thanksgiving and she hates to be excluded!) and seems to be doing well. Messy, but good in the fact that she laps it up like buttah.

Now that her reflux is almost gone we've moved her to her crib for naps and bedtime. So far, so good. In fact, for the past two nights she (and I) have slept wonderfully long. I almost hate to bring up the subject, though, for fear I'll jinx it. She's also working on rolling over, but is mostly interested in trying to sit up. Yes, apparently someone forgot to tell her that she's a baby, because if you try to hold her, she'll let you know that she prefers to stand up or sit so that she can view everyone around her. She's our little social one, that's for sure!

She also happens to be the most stylish one around here, too, thanks to the teeniest, tiniest, sweetest, most adorable bracelets that she received today from Rebecca. THANK YOU, Rebecca!!

sweet dreams
Sometimes all it takes is some Mozart and a few minutes of watching your friends go around, and around, and around...

...to fall fast asleep (until Mommy gets the bright idea to take a picture, that is!)

A little side note: This is the same mobile we used with Cole, except with one slight change. You see, the base on these models plays music - a little Mozart, Beethoven, or Bach - for your listening pleasure. In fact, Cole loves the music so much that he still goes to sleep listening to it (without the funny animals, of course!). So when we knew we were having Harper, we had a little dilema on our hands, because we didn't really want to buy another mobile, but we also didn't want to make Cole give up his music anytime soon. Thinking that Tiny Love, the manufacturer, might sell bases for this product separately, I wrote a short letter and explained our situation. But instead of selling us a base, they offered to send us a replacement one - for free! How cool is that? So big props to Tiny Love for two very good things: a sleep-inducing mobile and customer service that goes above and beyond. Thank you, thank you, for helping us get through the day.
